Michael sadly died on May 17th 2011. He was 68yrs old. He was taken ill in December and later diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis, which none of us had ever heard of. He was on an oxygen machine 24hrs a day right from the onset of the illness. He was a very brave man, even though he suffered an horrendous ordeal when he was put onto a life support machine for several days and suffered terrible hallucinations on the medication he was given. He fought very hard to come out of Critical Care. Unfortunately he caught pneumonia twice more after coming home, and the last time it was just too much for him to fight off. We feel we would like to make others aware of this terrible illness and raise money for research. He was a much loved man by all who knew him. He will live on in our minds and in our hearts forever.
